Job Description:
The Education Manager will be in charge of all aspects of JA programming:
forming, sustaining, and maintaining relationships with local K-12 public and private schools across Hampton Roads, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast, Hampton Roads Public Libraries, and additional educational institutions.
Additionally:
Organize, develop, and implement K-12 financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programming Ensure quality/consistency of program delivery Liaise with teachers and school administrators Develop and Implement teacher/volunteer training Recruit, train, place, support, retain, and recognize volunteers (corporate and private) Incorporate feedback into program improvement Provide content for social media platforms Submit forecasts and progress reports to Education Director Report program numbers to JA USA Fundraise/Assist with special events Interact with Board Committee members in area Other duties as assigned Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Communication, Education, or equivalent Outstanding written/oral communication, public speaking, and demonstration/presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong time management skills Strategic thinking/problem solving skills Ability to work collaboratively or individually Proficiency in technological systems and social media Ability to learn new systems quickly Desired:
Previous experience in marketing or managing fundraising events.
