Material Analyst

OverviewVTG is looking for a Material Analyst in our Virginia Beach, VA office.
What will you do? Applies and develops basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment for material control.
Schedules and arranges for delivery of material and equipment to the installation site.
Monitor availability of material, equipment, and tools to ensure that the proper resources are available as needed.
Ensures that disposition of excess material is accomplished.
Analyzes estimates against historical data, identifies and investigates reasons for differences.
Assists in obtaining, tracking, and reporting of information required for daily, weekly, and monthly reports, Task Order closeout, and other deliverables.
Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed.
Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodities in a cost-effective manner.
Provides material status by running reports from the Material Management System and coordinating with the Procurement department.
Provides reports on excess material using the Material Management System and obtaining inputs from the Material Coordinator and Installation Supervisor.
Responsible for the authorization of purchased materials & services to assigned projects.
Do you have what it takes?Education and/or Experience Associate's degree and six months of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior defense contracting or military experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
