Sr. Geotechnical Tunneling Engineer

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Senior Geotechnical Tunnel Engineer for our Virginia Beach, VA office.
Be involved in projects with our Geotechnical and Tunneling Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact Provide oversight of instrumentation and monitoring activities for major underground civil works projects Perform field inspection of existing structures relative to potential ground movements and structure movements Provide review of geotechnical, tunnel and instrumentation & monitoring submittals Providing independent assurance/verification of Contractor's I&M processes for appropriate action in case of threshold limit exceedance Develop summary reports and interact with designers, contractors and the owner Lead multi-disciplinary meetings relating to construction activities and their potential risks to existing infrastructure and the public Providing geotechnical support during construction of major underground civil works projects that include TBM tunneling, land reclamation, ground improvement, excavations, dewatering, and roadway widening Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Who You Are Required Qualifications 5 to 7 years of geotechnical and instrumentation experience BS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical (or Structural) Engineering emphasis (MS preferred) Virginia PE license or the ability to obtain within 6 months Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid understanding of ground/structure interaction and movements resulting from various construction methods #LI-LD1 Recommended Skills Business Requirements Civil Engineering Communication Conflict Management Construction Decision Making Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
