VTG is seeking a Logistics Supply Analyst to support our Virginia Beach location.
Responsibilities:
Summary The Logistics Supply Analyst is a logistic-centric role with elements of administering material sourcing, obsolescence mitigation, production support, and end of life item support.
This role will coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Monitors and analyzes availability of material, equipment, and tools to ensure that the proper resources are available as needed.
Analyzes estimates against historical data, identifies and investigates reasons for differences.
Provides material status by running reports from the Material Management System, Financial Accounting system, and input from the Material Coordinator and Purchasing Manager.
Perform material sourcing awarded and in support of RFP responses.
Review technical drawings in support of development of accurate Bill of Materials Examines material to verify conformance to specifications including technical inspections.
Coordinate, communicate and negotiate with various vendors regarding material needs.
Perform other logistical tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior defense contracting or military experience preferred.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Security clearance, valid driver's license Other
Qualifications:
Some travel required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
