The Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Solutions team has an immediate opening for a Systems Analyst II - Data Analyst.
This position is Grant funded and is subject to continuation of Grant funding.
As an IT Systems Data Analyst, you will have an opportunity to work with a diverse and highly skilled group of IT professionals that thrive in a collaborative team solutioning environment.
In this position you will have opportunities to participate with regional and state workgroups and committees that are defining data governance and architecture for Virginia's Health and Human Service government and private sector partners.
Our vision for what you will do:
The IT Systems Data Analyst will support day-to-day operations of systems analysis as well as data and analytics for the Health and Human Services portfolio; specifically supporting Behavioral Health, Developmental Services, Medical Services and Financial Management for the Community Services Board with a reporting line to the DHS Finance Officer.
This position supports data quality and data stewardship functions to maintain data accuracy and identify new metrics.
In this role, you will:
Work with the IT Solutions Lead and DHS Business Manager to provide systems analysis, analytics, and reporting services for clinical, financial and budget systems that support the Virginia Beach Community Services Board, a local Community Behavioral Healthcareprovider.
Manage ServiceNow Requests for on demand and scheduled operational work.
Work closely with the Department of Humans Services leadership, division administrators and program managers to define, design and deliver analytics and reporting services for Behavioral Health, Developmental Services, Medical Services and Finance.
Serve as Systems Analyst for Data and Reporting on IT Projects for the Virginia Beach Community Services Board.
Analyze large data sets and identify areas of improvement.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Work with a variety of reporting tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle BI to develop dashboards and visualizations.
Design reports based on complex and heuristic variables.
Work closely with our Data and Information Management and Enterprise Architecture teams for strategic alignment and portfolio management.
Provide data for internal and external audits.
Manage the teams Knowledge Management System (KMS) in ServiceNow for all data and reporting services related to Behavioral Health, Developmental Services, Medical Services and Finance systems.
Prepares and presents briefings and portfolio updates for IT and Human Services leadership and staff.
Develop and expand analytics and reporting services across underserved BHDS programs.
Define Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support the City Manager's STAT program, Step Virginia, and other strategic initiatives.
