Allow us to elaborateFor this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Proposal Pricing SpecialistThis position is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities involved in the development and submission of compliant government/commercial RFQs, RFPs, and other cost and pricing estimatesThis position reports directly to the Director of Contracts and Procurement and regularly interacts with executive leadership to develop pricing strategies used in pricing submissionsThis position will apply company policies and estimating procedures while adhering to specific RFP requirements to create accurate and quality winning proposalsWe are also seeking someone who has a desire for growth within our growing small business and wants to learn how to develop a leadership mindsetIn addition to the above description, the qualified candidate is expected to support the following essential functions as a G2 Ops Pricing Specialist:
o Analyze and align salary survey and compensation data with RFP/contract labor category descriptions.
o Develop labor cost estimates using commercial and government salary survey tools and databases.
o Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools to create fully compliant, comprehensive, compelling, and award-winning Cost/Price narratives and/or pricing files for various proposal types.
o Review proposal team inputs to ensure compliance with government regulations, including certified cost or pricing data, such as compliance with internal company policies, FAR/DFARS, CAS, and other solicitation requirements.
o Evaluate inputs and documents from proposal team members containing pricing informationAssist in developing cost models using advanced Excel skills.
o Participate in proposal development and compliance meetings, such as pricing strategy discussions, price-to-win and risk reviews, bid/no-bid decisions, Color Team compliance assessments, white glove pre-submittal reviews, etc.
o Conduct analyses on competitive costs, price trends, and historical bid price points to support pricing submittals.
o Evaluate proposals or related inputs from subcontractors to determine the acceptability of proposed rates and prices.
o Maintain proposal/pricing data activities in Sales Force and SharePoint foldersWhat does this mean to you? To be successful in the role, our desired candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Business, Finance, A ccounting, or a related field, and about 2
years of clearly demonstrated government/commercial pricing experience (this must be apparent on your resume)In addition, you must be self-directed, flexible and have a willingness to do 'what needs to be done' in a small business environment and having the following desired skills is an added plus:
o Proposal experienceo Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is requiredo Proficiency in other MS products (Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)o Working knowledge of FAR/DFARSo Familiarity with DCMA/DCAAo Basic understanding of estimating methodologies and experience in developing proposals compliant with FAR 15-2o Experience using salary survey tools and databases to develop labor cost estimateso Experience in all aspects of proposal development, including the creation of price workbooks and cost/price narratives for various contract types (Cost-Plus, FFP, T&M, etc.
)o Experience with Seaport NxG, GSA, and other MAC IDIQs and Scheduleso Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines in a schedule-driven environmento Effective planning and scheduling skills that ensure the completion of proposal efforts in accordance with customer and company requirementso Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some unique requirementsThe ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret clearance or be able to obtain one - but it is not required to applyQuick Note:
