Overview
VTG is seeking a Sheetmetal Mechanic to work in our Fabrication Shop in Virginia Beach, VA.
What will you do?
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Measures, marks, and scribes layout on metals, plastics, woods, and laminates.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as press brakes, shears, punches, and rollers, drill presses, vertical and horizontal band saws, to fabricate parts to specifications.
Utilizes hand tools such as grinders, drills, rivet guns, saws, calipers, scribes, combination squares.
Verifies conformance of fabricated layouts and items to the blueprint specifications.
Operate all machines in discipline, including Punch Press and Press Brake
Do you have what it takes?
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma / GED, plus one (1) - two (2) years of related experience setting up and operating press brakes.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be a US Citizen.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
