Position
Responsibilities:
Creates and delivers apprentice curriculum for practical and theoretical training. Formulates program outlines, determines instructional methods, designs evaluations and develops program schedules. Ensures programs are designed and modified according to strategic operating objectives, and state and federal requirements.
Works closely with Manufacturing Operations departments to understand job skill requirements and to deliver training programs that increase workforce performance. Builds and instructs curriculum associated with apprenticeships in Tool & Die, CNC Machining, and associated departments with approved metal-trades apprenticeship program.
Utilizes outside agencies, schools, or other teaching professionals to conduct specific apprenticeship education within the designed curriculum.
Works with various governmental agencies regarding program certifications or credits.
Supervises apprentice schedules and practical education and work. Coordinates the daily supervision of apprentice(s) with departments in which apprentices work.
Tests and evaluates apprentices to regularly measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. Rewards participants based on result of evaluation as specified by program documentation.
Reports on progress of participants and status of program to management as required.
All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
4 year degree in Engineering or Manufacturing technical field.
8
years of related experience.
Experience with G & M code programming
Experience with both German and US state and federal apprenticeship programs.
Completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
IHK Certification experience highly desired.
German language skills highly preferred
